Adele
Program Assistant
Adele is a mathematics major with a finance minor and a member of the LIVE Leadership program. She loves Colorado but certainly misses her home state of Wisconsin! Adele can usually be found outdoors, whether it's playing for the UCCS club soccer team, camping, or fishing. She knows that the transition to UCCS from out-of-state can be difficult, and would love to share her experiences with other students! She is looking forward to helping students find their home here at UCCS. While comfortable working with all majors, Adele most frequently works with those interested in business and mathematics.
Akilah
Orientation Leader
Akilah is a dual criminal justice and psychology major. She is also a peer academic coach in the office of first year experience. She has always wanted to go back to her birthplace of Japan. She paints in her free time. She loves to help anyone and everyone, especially students. She understands that it is a challenging time in the world right now and would love to support students through it all. Akilah enjoys working with students of all majors and most frequently works with criminal justice, psychology, social work, communication, business, and education majors.
Bailey
Orientation Leader
Bailey is a freshman in the athletic training- exercise science track at UCCS and a participant in the LIVE Leadership program. Fun fact: she is not a Colorado native - she is from a little town just outside of Raleigh, N.C.! She enjoys music and spending time with her two Labradors. Her biggest goal while at UCCS is to make a positive impact on the students and the community as a whole, and she can't wait to get to know you! Bailey is comfortable working with education, humanities, nursing, natural & health sciences, social sciences and undecided majors.
Bruce
Orientation Leader
Bruce is a member of the Student Affairs in Higher Education Masters Program. He graduated from UCCS with a Bachelor's Degree in History. He enjoys spending time with family (including his dog Hank) and friends. He enjoys playing board games, guitar, and games of all kinds and loves the New York Rangers. He wants to be able to make a positive impact in students' educational journeys. He is comfortable working with students of all majors and looks forward to learning about your goals!
Carrie
Orientation Leader
Carrie is a dual major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. As such, she has an affinity for all things true crime! Although she was born in the sunny state of Florida, she has spent the majority of her life in Colorado. She adores Colorado’s scenery, especially the view of Pikes Peak from campus. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. She loves working with students of all majors, and she ensures that each student has the necessary tools to succeed at UCCS.
Dougey
Orientation Leader
Dougey is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Cybersecurity. He is involved with the LIVE Leadership Scholarship program at UCCS and enjoys playing video games in his free time. His message to students is to "Never give up, and never surrender." Especially during these unprecedented times, Dougey is passionate about supporting new students in their journey to UCCS. While comfortable working with all majors, Dougey most frequently works with business students.
Emily

Emily is majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in aerospace engineering. She is a member of several engineering oriented clubs such as AIAA, Society of Women Engineers, and Rocketry. Emily is a commuter student and knows all the best coffee shops in the Springs. In her spare time she enjoys painting and rock climbing. This time is full of new experiences for everyone and Emily is happy to help out where ever she can! She enjoys working with students of all majors and frequently works with mechanical/electrical/computer engineering, game design, computer science, math, chemistry and physics majors.
Haley
Orientation Leader
Haley is a freshman studying Technical Communication and Information Design with a minor in Visual Arts. She's a Colorado native of the Colorado Springs area, and loves everything about the city, especially the view! In her free time, she likes to read, write, and draw, or jam out to some music. She enjoys interacting with others and wishes to extend her support to fellow students in their journey to UCCS.. Haley has experience working with all majors and most frequently works with majors in the arts and English.
Kat
Orientation Leader
Kat is an Inclusive Elementary Education major with a minor in Spanish. She was born and raised in Ohio, but loves living in Colorado! She enjoys all things crafty, reading, music and hiking with her three dogs. She loves helping people and students and is excited to get to know you! Kat enjoys working with students of all majors and most frequently works with education, english, foreign language, psychology, sociology, and criminal justice majors. She is also very knowledgeable about the transfer process since she is a transfer student herself.
Keely
Orientation Leader
Keely is a psychology and social work major at UCCS. She grew up in Colorado Springs and loves to be in the mountains. She loves creative writing and enjoys to be around animals. She is passionate about mental health and utilizes her empathetic approach to help students successfully transition to UCCS. With a passion and interest in meeting new people, orientation extends her involvement in the UCCS community. She excited to work with students of any major.
Khoi
Orientation Leader
Khoi is a freshman at UCCS majoring in Biochemistry. As an international student originally from Vietnam, he understands the struggles these students face when they first come to the States and, therefore, would love to help them adjust to campus life. In his free time, Khoi enjoys reading books (in both Sciences and fiction), cooking, watching TV shows, and working on his creative writings. He always puts on his enthusiastic attitude since he believes “a smile would chase bad omens away.” Khoi is comfortable working with all majors, especially those in Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry.
Kyra
Orientation Leader
Kyra is a senior, majoring in Exercise Science in hopes of becoming a counselor. Through her interest in mental health, she hopes to come alongside students to help them successfully transition to UCCS. She was born in Florida but has been in Colorado since middle school. She loves being outside with her dog, going for walks, hikes and playing all types of sports. She enjoys college football and being a part of her local church. She knows that this can be an exciting yet stressful time and is happy to help out wherever she can with students of all majors!
Lily
Orientation Leader
Lily is a Sophomore majoring in Biology with a minor in Pre-Pharmacy. She plans to continue my education at a Pharmacy School at CU Anschutz, after graduating. During her free time she enjoys listening to music and dancing. She also frequently binge watch shows on Netflix. She understands that the transition to college is difficult as she can relate and is very excited to assist students and make the transition less stressful.
Lynnie

Lynnie is a senior business student, and is getting a double major in accounting and management with a minor in criminal justice. She works in the Orientation Office both as an OWL and behind the scenes as a data entry assistant, so she has a well-rounded view of the orientation process and how everything works. In her free time, she likes to watch movies and TV shows and read books. She is also a big nerd, who loves Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, etc. and will happily talk to you all day about it! She is excited to support students during this difficult time, and to help them find a place at UCCS. Lynnie is enjoys working with students of all majors, and most frequently works with business, criminal justice, education, and undecided majors.
Madison

Madison is a senior majoring in Communications. She has spent several years ushering theatre and musical performances at the Ent Center for the Arts as well as taking some arts classes herself. In her free time, Madison enjoys creative writing and crime shows. She was born and raised in Colorado but enjoys traveling (to the beach) when possible. Her goal as an Orientation Welcome Leader is to make students feel more comfortable with the transition to college. Madison is comfortable working with all major and most frequently works with undecided students, communications, human services, criminal justice, and English majors.
Olivia

Olivia is majoring in economics with a minor in statistics. She is a participant in LIVE Leadership and the National Society of Leadership and Success, a member of the UCCS Navigators, and enjoys participating in intramural tennis and volleyball. She also loves to spend time with her family and friends. Olivia is excited to help students make connections and support them with their goals at UCCS. She looks forward to working with students of all majors.
Paige

Paige is a junior business major with an emphasis in marketing. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and UCCSLead. Paige is a Colorado native, enjoys hiking, listening to music, and sells her customized shoes and art on the side in her free time. She enjoys getting to know new students of all majors and helping them through the transition to UCCS. Paige understands the transition can be difficult, especially during the times we are living in, but is so excited to be there for everyone and share her knowledge about being a student at UCCS.
Reilly

Reilly is earning a communication certificate in a program called Office of Inclusive Services at UCCS. Reilly loves spending time achieving goals and working hard in classes. Reilly is interested in playing baseball in the MLB someday and loves to watch football with his dad. Reilly likes spending time helping others whenever/however he can around the campus and in the community. Reilly likes reading and writing. He enjoys working with students of all majors and most frequently works with communication, film studies, and education majors.
Sage

Sage is a freshman majoring in Human Physiology and Nutrition with a minor in Japanese Language Studies. She is currently president of the UCCS Anime Club. When she’s not spending time with her two cats (Suki and Pippin) she enjoys writing, art, and playing the piano. She wants to provide a positive experience for incoming UCCS students.

Hello! Sarah is a history major with an emphasis in secondary education. Sarah is involved in Greek life on campus. She has a cat named Mr. Jones and he is absolutely adorable. Sarah also really likes water sports. Sarah is so excited to help and go mountain lions! Sarah enjoys working with students of all majors, and most frequently works with education, history, political science, and communication majors.
Shadasha

Shadasha is a junior majoring in Business-Human Resources Management. She is also an HR intern at Intranerve Neuroscience. When she is not doing schoolwork or working, she enjoys binge watching Netflix shows, crafting, and exploring Colorado. Shadasha is looking forward to helping new students with their transition to UCCS. Shadasha is comfortable working with all majors and most frequently works with business, communication, psychology, education, and sociology.
Thanh Thanh
Orientation Leader
Thanh Thanh is a biology: biomedical sciences major with a minor in chemistry, and is also a part of the SGA as a Senator at Large. She is a part of five clubs on campus, including Pre Health Society, Global Medical Brigades, Society of Women Engineers, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and acts as marketing executive chair of the National Society of Black Engineers. She loves traveling, reading and baking as well as exploring all the beauty Colorado has to offer. Since it is a chaotic time for everyone, she is happy to provide a shoulder to lean on during these tough times. She is comfortable in helping students of all majors.
Victoria

I am Texas born and raised dual psychology and sociology major with a minor in general communications. I played competitive volleyball up through high school, traveling to 38 states and 3 different countries to play. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, ice skating, working out, and painting. I'm aware of the challenges that come with being introduced to a new environment like college, it can be intimidating (and it definitely was for me), but I would like to assure students that my meetings are a safe, open space where students of all backgrounds can feel welcome and comfortable. I'm here to help, and I can't wait to meet everyone! I am comfortable working with students of all majors, however, I am most equipped to handle students looking for a future in law, or students who find themselves to fit within the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences.
